Ever since the baby boomers started getting elderly and right on through to the current twenty-somethings, there has been a kind of never ending immaturity with some adults. Action figures, grown-up coloring books, adult tag, reading YA, and tons of re-makes and re-boots of children's shows and cartoons intended for those adults to watch. I want to say "Let me people like what they like." but I kind of wish it would stop. Nostalgia, even ironic nostalgia, has become a landfill of childish junk.

I have a colleague who I always thought was a little "off". During our Zoom meetings over the last year, I've observed how her living room has a bunch of stuffed animals (she has no kids). I appreciate that different things make people happy but having stuffed animals as part of our decor in your mid-thirties? I'm going to judge.

I was gonna' say... these choices have been very interesting. I'm excited to see what Greta does but ngl I was excited for a Diablo Cody Barbie film. Now she's been booted off the Madonna movie too smh.

wow Diablo officially got kicked off the Madonna project? smh, but seeing how much control Madonna had over that project it was only a matter of time before issues came up. i'm more concerned about the disaster CW Powerpuff Girl script though, that was bad

If they did straight to streaming animated Polly Pocket movies I’d throw them all my money just for the nostalgia factor, but they’d HAVE to use the voice actors who did all the VA work for the crappy PP flash games.
The Polly Pocket song is permanently stuck in my head from hyperfixating on those web games for hours.

I had this too! I think it was my last Polly Pocket I had, but it wasn't even pocket sized anymore. Loved the going to bed and rotating clothes, though.

I think pollu pockets are by far my favourite childhood toy!
