The major studios have left this weekend to Universal's F9, the ninth film in the Fast and Furious series. But not to worry, there are plenty of indies out this weekend, including some that you can watch on streaming services from the comfort of your own home.
The films listed are from studios other than the “Big Six” - Paramount, Warner Brothers, 20th Century Fox, Universal, Columbia/Sony and Disney. Note that some of the movies listed are in their first week or two of limited release in the USA, so it may take them a few more weeks (or months) to show up in your local arthouse theater or on VOD. These two stories of conflict and struggle are intertwined as the film follows her amazing 103 day journey around Iceland, with the magical, rugged coastline of the country a backdrop to the story of Veiga's transition.
