commercials are HUGE money for actors, if you can get a national one. most of the alum from my college ended up with careers in commercials, not tv/movie acting.
commercials can pay VERY well, especially if they are used a lot. i used to work as a talent agent, and we had a family star in a google commercial that went viral a few years ago. commercial alone, the kids made enough that got them set for college.
oh, and one year, google wanted the rights to possbily air the commercial on tv (they didn’t). so that was an easy $15k for a commercial that never made it on air that year.
tbh i only got the job as my bf (who is an actor) referred me to his agent, who needed a new assistant. i've also only ever worked in film-related jobs, so it wasn't a stretch for me. it wasn't for a big market (so not LA or NYC), but it was a fun job. the hard part is that everything is so subjective and more often than not directors or clients had no idea what they wanted ("sorry, this actor has green eyes, and we want someone with blue eyes" or "we need a right handed guy, not a leftie"), so having to let actors know of rejections sucked. on the other hand, when there was good news, it was so satisfying.
overall i liked thst job, but because my boss refused to promote or give me a raise, i ended up leaving. i do love casting to this day though, and would consider a move back to that at some point.
She’s like their theme spokespersons so I’d imagine she’d get a lot plus she’s an actress so who knows what kind of gigs she has outside of the insurance commercial
Commercials can pay you a huge amount of money. I remember reading an article about it in Uni and essentially the contracts are different from movie contracts. I think you get paid every single time the commercial airs for as long as that commercial airs which can amount to a lot. The guy who did the "Can you hear me now?" commercials became super rich too I think
Damn how much do commercials pay? I'm in the wrong business.

Which is fine until you realize how many gigs he's had.
