she has had so many looks and a lot of surgery over the years, so it's really hard to pinpoint tbh. which version of cher? which shade of cher? elusive chanteuse!

Well! When you see it laid out like this I feel like they're going to need to have a new actress for every 20 year interval. Original recipe Cher from the 60s can not be playing Cher 2.0 from the 80s and beyond.

yeah, I was kind of thinking the same thing, but I wonder if they'll go that route? i'm sure whoever they cast will want top billing, and not just "Cher 1" or whatever. That's why I went with Dakota Johnson. She's 30, Cher blew up before she was 20. Dakota is early 30s. She could pull of probably early years through 50? Then they should just cast Thee Cher as later Cher. She can play herself from 50-75!
