Watching the hbo series about Dylan was so devastating. I was a little kid when it happened so I didn't know most of the story. That man is a pig and that poor child was abused by not only him but the legal system.

That show was so good but so hard. I always believed her but seeing the breakdown of what happened to her, and anyone who didn’t take that abusive bastard’s side was horrowing. The legal manipulation and medical manipulation made me sick.

I highly recommend it but I’m glad I watched it in chunks and if you are a csa survivor don’t be surprised if it kicks up a few things, it did for me.

I'm glad she provided Dylan with another platform.

She was raised in Hollywood and an alcoholic by the time she was 13. It's not a stretch to think that being a mom would open her eyes to the shit kids are exposed to and how it's supposed to be vs how it was for her.

She's calling out Woody Allen on his predatory behavior when most actors are still mum on the issue. Good on her for doing this, and fuck you for thinking it's not enough.

i mean i didn't say her calling him out is a bad thing at all - that's obviously a good thing - but i'm 100% gonna stand by my statement

& not sure the "fuck you" was really necessary here either - you do know drew isn't going to see your defense of her right? like.... calm down lol

Yeah I don’t agree with your comment at all but that “fuck you” was so unnecessary and personal. That user needs reporting.

Rotflmao jebus you are redic.

She gave Dylan a public platform, put a spotlight on her writing, apologized, said she believed her.

You:”yes but did she donate her salary for a almost 30Yr old film?”

Ok all the she shoulda dones and didn’t aside I’m thrilled with this. Drew can be so not eloquent, but she also just had a victim on her show and apologized to her in front of the world and validated her by sharing with a large audience that she believes her.

She called out Woody Allen when most have not. Idgaf if one day she was eating toast and had the epiphany.

She can’t change the past and she made choices that most of us wouldn’t have. But she also corrected course and that means something to me and it means something to me that she didn’t do it as a soundbyte but brought Dylan there. And Dylan has already given her feelings on the matter. She wants support. She got it. That’s huge considering how often she has been shut down.

Yeah everyone is picking apart Drew’s words here and whether or not she’s genuine or using it as an excuse - but the most important takeaway for me here, is that she’s letting Dylan use her platform to speak when so many others would never. I am thankful for that.

And for me personally, given the crazy shit Drew went through at such a young age, I will give her the benefit of the doubt here. I can absolutely believe her priorities and/or perception were fucked up. But again, most importantly, she’s letting Dylan use her platform to get her message across. Woody needs to be held accountable.

Maybe spend more time calling out the perpetrator instead of a now public ally of the victim.

Only talk show that has had Dylan on but yeah it’s totally for clicks. *eye roll*
