Chris Pine might've been TOO pretty to play Ryan. Like Ben McKenzie was super cute but in a more subtle way.

I noticed in Star Trek that Pine didn't have perfect Hollywood skin but it wasn't anything that would've upset viewers. He is playing a teen afterall
