Good on her. The entertainment industry has used and abused so many children. Just thinking about the many ones who aren't here today, because they were failed by those who were supposed to look out for them :(

Idky but Brad Renfro is always one child actor that sticks out to me as someone they failed to protect. It makes me sad just thinking about him

I wonder how many people in her position hold their parents accountable. There have been plenty of cases where the child stars parents run off with their $$$, and the kids separate themselves and condemn their parents.

But, I’m curious if they are able to see how it takes a willing parent to bring you to auditions and continue to further your career as a child, which puts you into awful situations.

didn't Culkin's kid's parents do that to them?

They hold their dad accountable, but it’s not really what OP is talking about I think. Their father was abusive, they needed to get away.

I remember watching a documentary a few years ago about that complex in LA where all the parents and their kids live when they’re trying to break into HW. The majority of the parents just seemed clueless and just fame/money hungry.

I met her before! Worked with her on a photo shoot, she was very kind and humble. She wore my clothes too which was cool. I had to help her get into an outfit and I got a peek of her butt lol. Good for her for staying well adjusted.

I considered not sharing it because I didn’t want anyone to take it the wrong way and I didn’t even mean it in a sexual way. For me it was more like a wow I can’t believe I used to watch her on tv and now her butt is in the same room as me lol. Just seemed so surreal!

What I don't get is how can any famous person allow their child to go into this industry? Even with the power of nepotism nobody is immune from all the traps. As i have said before even full grown adults have a very difficult time navigating this predatory industry so why would you ever sacrifice your child's innocence for a paycheck? I do think it is abusive to expose your child to such conditions and it is a miracle any child star grows up "fine". Let your kids be kids, act in school plays etc. I do think with like deep fakes and stuff maybe we won't even need child actors anymore, it's not a healthy environment for them.

It think it’s usually parents who had aspirations themselves and who now want to live vicariously through their kids...like Dina Lohan.
Or they just see it as way to make so much money that the rest of family no longer have to work...like Millie Bobby Brown‘s family
