My habits are pretty much the same, but my introversion has only grown more powerful muahaha stronger, I'll just miss having an excuse not to go to family events. Now I have to tell them I can't stand to be around their republican asses. I don't want to deal with the drama.

The best thing about 2020 was that my mother - who lives interstate - couldn’t come over for her yearly visit and drive me nuts for a week.

I was already super introverted and hermity and hated doing things on weekends, so I didn’t really have much of a change other than not really going to shops unless absolutely necessary.

Yeah I pretty much just missed wandering around Target and Home Goods when I wanted to leave the house, now that I'm vaccinated I'm getting comfortable with casual shopping again.

as a retail worker, I wish more people were like you. since reopening in June, we've consistently had people that don't understand that you can't try on makeup in a panettone. constantly having to retape the displays, constantly explaining that they can't open live product (not that it was allowed before), it's a nightmare.

got my first shot. they're using the old Lord & Taylor, using the old clothes-racks to make barriers/queues. staffed by the Army(/Nat'l Guard) and local EMTs. sat in my car for 10 minutes after and I got a mild headache, which will likely be unpleasant unless I take an Excedrin soon.

So they moved the all star game to Denver, thats why everyone was comparing Colorado to Georgia today.

Also, I am still amazed how much the Minneapolis PD has thrown Chauvin under the bus. I know its to protect their own image but you know if there wasn't the video and the big public protests they'd probably still be on his side.

i actually think the MPD police chief fired Chauvin the day after the murder no? and i think he did so too quickly against police union rules where he should have waited like 3 days before firing or something. so at least i think the police chief knew Chauvin was shit immediately? i dont remember how quickly the death went viral though, so if the firing was prompted by how immediately viral it went.

I had to google it since I thought it was all around the same time. You are correct that they did fire them the next day I can't tell if it was before or after they knew the video had gone public. I can respect them for acting quickly and for dismissing all the officers involved instead of just Chauvin since they were all complicit in the murder.

its basically the only thing giving me hope that he'll actually get jailtime. that MPD isn't actively trying to protect him. cuz even tho im like look at all this testimony and evidence!!! im still worried hes going to get a slap on the wrist.
