I’ll be honest i haven’t kept up with fantasias music career, but her second album back in 2006 is still so good!

I still listen to that album and also the song “truth is”

Not here for Carrie but Fantasia was fab as always, I agree she's underrated. I wonder if it's because she seemed for a long time such a mess personally or if she's just too black for mainstream audiences......I do think unless you are a rapper or doing generic pop music black artists almost always end up getting pigeonholed.

She had a #11 in 2020 and a #2 hit in 2019, and that was from an independent album. Streaming and social media has segregated music beyond repair in my opinion. That is why I track charts that mainly take in account radio airplay. No one cares if your kinda messy as long as you can sing. She sells out venues and people like her current marriage podcast.
