Why does James Gunn get to come into The Suicide Squad and automatically gets his own show with Pacemaker? TSS hasnt proven to be another hit like SS was, Pacemaker hasnt proven to be the breakout character, John Cena hasnt done anything to prove he's a good actor....(I know its the make whiteness of it all but still)
I'm surprised they havent outright cancelled Amazons.

DuVernay doesn't get to do what she wants because she lost money on A Wrinkle in Time.
Studios are only concerned about possible profits. If they think someone can earn more money, they get to go forward. If they think they won't be able to make a profit, they get their project canceled. It's a business.
