Also when they call you about doing a PSA for Women’s Month, why don’t you also tell them alllllllll the things we have been telling them, since forever.

i don’t think draymond green is the point man for the nba’s officialopinion on this. the actual guys that are considered the league leaders, lebron, steph, seem to have better takes and are trying to do their part. BUT if your teammates have this shitty take like draymond’s you’re NOT doing enough. kobe was doing a lot to change these guys takes with what he was doing with gigi, it’d be cool to have seen what they could have accomplished for both leagues.

Pinoe is always fighting mens garbage takes. There is such a disconnect between people who think nobody cares about womens sports but that it just is the way it is and has nothing to do with larger societal misogyny. We can't get paid what we are worth even sitting next to a man doing the same damn job in an office. Its not surprising at all it extends to sports.

Interesting timing. Just yesterday I made a comment regarding equal pay on the tennis subreddit and it amassed more than 80 downvotes last I checked, in a sub where actual insulting/offensive comments get at most 20 downvotes, if that.

Nothing brings males together like putting down women who dare to speak up for their own. Thankfully for me, downvotes don't hurt me and I cannot and will not be

100%. I got in a fight about the womens soccer equal pay fight on reddit as well.. and then I realized that I don't want to go to reddit because its a hugely sexist trash can. The absolute worst men playing in an echo chamber about how women don't ever deserve shit.

I hate r/tennis. I feel like it's full of men in their young men in their teens and 20s, I feel the immaturity leaking from my screen.

Talking about the gender wage/earning gap in any subreddit will earn you mass downvotes and like WHY? Why is this something men are so sensitive about? It's weird, tbh.

I’m just really sick of men.

If I see one more “women don’t even watch women’s sports” comments I’m going to lose my fucking mind. Who would’ve thunk years and years of telling women it’s inferior and shouldn’t be taken seriously while also refusing to air any games would have consequences.

I may sound callous but her last point is a bit naïve. That's why, when people in social media say things like "you should educate yourself/pay me for giving this education in how not to exploit me!!!!" usually accomplishes zero. Yes some woke people may feel guilty or give you pity points but for the most part, people will choose free and comfortable ignorance over having to work on something they expect to gain nothing in exchange. And good luck if they are pushed to do something they perceive it will threaten something they feel entitled to.

Yes, sheer human decency dictates that nobody should have a problem with giving up things they don't need so everyone can have something but things don't work that way unfortunately. If you are waiting for some moral awakening in the powerful you better take a sit because it will take some time. Maybe a century or two

There's nothing in her tweets about the people affected not putting in work to bring about the change they want to see. It's literally the opposite. The whole thread is her educating people and talking about all the effort put in to change things. The point is that she and the other women players whose complaints are being brushed aside can't enact the necessary change alone.

idk why you went off on this whole tangent and ignored what she was talking about just so you can complain because you think people should do more thankless emotional labor online.
