The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers has premiered and it's sweet

‘The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers’ Makes For a Smart, Surprisingly Sweet Cannibalization of Disney IP: TV Review https://t.co/xgB8RDyzit

When playing for the fun of it suddenly isn’t good enough, what happens to the kids who aren’t good enough to play?

Basically the Ducks are the Hawks and the new underdog is the Don't Bothers made up of a ragtag team of misfits who just want to play the game. Led by Lauren Graham (surprisingly cute and not as annoying as i feared) as their new coach, they form a new team after the Ducks kick off her son Evan for not already being the best of the best.

Nick is a scene stealer and the cutest.
Bombay owns the rink but he is of course, on par with reboots, a bit jaded by hockey but it's fine and doesnt take away from the kids. Did i cry when he showed up?

Yes

It works so far because it seems to not rely on nostalgia so much and doesnt take the focus from the new kids. There are little bits of memories for the original fans and i think that's the trick.

Also eventually some old Ducks will show up and i cannot wait

Just some good ol' wholesome family fun.
