Walter Tevis has to have one of the most impressive adaptational track records of any author with more than one book/series. He wrote six books, four of them turned into highly successful and generally well-regarded film/TV versions.

I only knew the name Walter Tevis from my book of TMWFTE as a child. I had no idea he also wrote The Hustler, The Queen's Gambit and The Color of Money!

Philip K. Dick is the man to beat, though.

such an underrated kween. slightly ot but it pisses me off that 28 days later is NEVER on tv but they play 28 weeks later coooooonstantly as if it's not the shittier movie
