once I'm fully vaccinated (hopefully next month, but who knows) I'm up for going back to the theaters, while still taking precautions. But until I'm fully vaccinated, I'm not risking it, as much as I may want to see certain movies on the big screen.

but who was super excited for this enough to either wait another year or deal with potentially getting covid to see it in theaters? I'm curious, but it's years way too late for me to keep waiting and pay $12 for a movie ticket.

Yeah I can’t even get an appointment in my state until May so I’m really happy about this news. Although I’m sad for theaters.

I think it's a smart move to have a simultaneous release with so many people left to vaccinate - you get the best of both worlds. If they want it to be theaters only and do really well, I think they'd have to push it back a few months, and it sounds like there's no room for that to happen.

I'd like to see it in theaters (I'd like to see anything in theaters, lol) but I gotta wait til my husband is eligible to be vaccinated. Which is not yet.

oh, so they made room! well I think it'll do really well domestically (for post-pandemic numbers, anyway) in July, since I imagine most people in the US will have had the opportunity to get vaccinated by then.

My younger sister was the only one of my family that didn’t have the first dose at least but Texas just announced all adults can get it starting March 29th. She just got a text from her PCP.
