He was definitely closed minded sometimes but he stood up for Harry and Hermione always (ugh) and the movies just didn't have that at all. It's why he's part of the group.

Yes literally!!! I didn’t realize the movies dogged out Ron so much until I reread the books as an adult. It actually bugs the hell out of me. Like I knew the did him dirty but I forgot how dirty they did him for Emma Watson and Hermione. She was such a white feminist lmao and had a superiority complex that does not look cute as an adult. She feels like a JKR insert sometimes. She seemed to hate a lot of women for no reason in the books and never listened to Harry’s instincts because as helpful as her logical brain was she thought her opinion could only ever be the correct one. Also Harry is kind of a dick like his father lol Snape didn’t lie. Ron was lowkey the best one personality wise.
