I came here to say basically the same thing lololol. I bought it at an airport for ~plane/trip reading, and couldn't get past like page ten no matter how many times I tried to restart.

I think I ended up just leaving on the plane on my return trip. Hopefully whoever found it had better luck than I did.

I absolutely loved the first half of it! Then there was a development that completely ruined it for me. [Spoiler]The reverend's wife very tragically and conveniently becomes sick and dies, so the reverend and the female lead can be together and still be decent, honourable people.
