My husband is an artist and tried to explain it to me and I don't really get it. But the environmental impact is ridiculous, as well it will only serve to be another avenue for artists to get screwed over, and already has happened where a third party sold the NFT for millions while the artist got a very, very small fraction of that. Most likely will be happening more often going forward.
