She’s not saying it’s a standard though, at all. It’s not Emily’s responsibility to cater to insecure people.

Not gonna say she isn't trying to show off her body (which I have no problem as long as its unedited), but technically it's an ad for her clothing line.

I mean, AND?

Of all the good reasons to be irritated with Emily this is what she chooses? Even as a person that won't give birth I know that the body of every person that does is affected differently by the process and their bodies will all be different. I definitely think that 'snap back' culture in general can be harmful but this comes across as.....IDK I don't want to say bitter or jealous but I do question the body image politics a place/insta called 'not skinny but not fat' has in general.

Emily is like the overlord of choice feminism, so... what did you expect, lady I do not know?

lol right, and I'm sure she'll bring feminism into this to justify her choice to post it when lbr she did it solely bc she wants to show off her flawless body. And that would be a-okay if she at least remembered to add a little disclaimer about how every body is different & how she's privileged for having the means to dedicate time & money to hers, considering she likes to babble about being such a feminist.

This is just one of the (many) reasons why I find it impossible to take conventionally attractive women talking about ~loving yourself seriously.

First off, I dunno what she's doing to keep her boobs in place but they look great.

Secondly, Claire, have you thought that this is just her body? Yes, everyone's not going to look like Emily after birth but everyone isn't gonna look like you, either. Maybe it will be worse, maybe better. You've essentially made something that has nothing to do with you all about you. Girl, your insecurity is showing.

I mean she might've been one of those women who gets a C-section + tummy tuck but even then I'd expect to see bruising/swelling.

whatever these celebs do, i guess that's the problem. maybe you dont agree with this lady that its showing off but it clearly creates the possibility in someones mind that a woman looking like that naturally is even a medical possibility.
