Glen Close has been in some very good films at least in her earlier career. But winning a Razzie and an Oscar for the same role? Now that's real talent.

She’s not the only one though? I feel like someone else has done this before

Lol! There have been actors nominated for an Oscar and Razzie in the same year but for different performances like Jack Nicholson and Sandra Bullock. But I can only find two other actors who were nominated for a Razzie and an Oscar for the same performance and that was James Coco for his role in 'Only When I Laugh' and Amy Irving or her role in Yentl. So Glenn Close truly joins a rather exclusive and distinguished club whose hallowed halls few have managed to penetrate.

Norbit, the Eddie Murphy movie, was nominated for an Oscar for best make-up and also 7 Razzies.

Honestly though, no actress in the history of the profession could've convincingly portrayed to an audience that her character (a) didn't know Yentl was a woman, and (b) didn't know Yentl was Barbra Streisand. That movie asked way too much its audience in the suspension of disbelief department.

How did this happen? I know there was probably a more limited selection of films to chose from because of the panacea but they really couldn’t have found a more deserving role to fit that slot?

woof, just saw the author of the book that this film was adapted from is gonna run for Senate in Ohio.

Vance's twitter feed (which has gotten very Trumpy/Tucker-y) has made it pretty clear he's gonna run. Finally, a Venture Capitalist backed by a Big Tech Billionaire who can deliver for ordinary folks. https://t.co/HOFNexxgX5

I'm assuming he wants to fill the seat Rob Portman held (he's retiring). Ugh. This asshole better not.
