I recommend Rocks! I watched it a few weeks ago on Netflix and kept meaning to mention it in a Roundup or something but always forgot.

Saw The Human Voice and Rocks at film festivals and thought they were both well worth a watch. THV is definitely more of a ymmv situation, but if you're a Tilda or Pedro fan, you will probably dig.

Gotta watch Quo vadis, Aida? at some point, but whew, it sounds depressing. And I'll probably give Kid 90 a try.

After a bit of a film drought, we actually watched a couple movies this past week - Coming to America (1988) and I Care A Lot - and I really enjoyed them both.

I've seen some people on ONTD say the CTA sequel sucks, so I probably won't bother with it, but the release of the new one was a good reminder that I hadn't ever seen the original. Some of the humor didn't age super well, but on the whole it was funny. I only knew Eriq La Salle from ER, so seeing him in this role was a trip. And the Soul Glo song got stuck in my head so fast I swear I thought that it had been sampled in something else.

I get why people said I Care A Lot was like two different movies. The first half was definitely more fun, imo, and I wouldn't have

The CTA sequel did indeed suck. Some of it was amusing for nostalgia sake but the story and most of the jokes were dumb. We re-watched the original a week ago or so and a lot of it is still so funny and the new had none of that.

I'm so ready to watch Kid 90 lmao. I'm a 90s kid so they're older than me but it seems like they were in all of the media I consumed. It feels like watching vids of your much cooler older siblings.
