I’ve had so much distaste towards Alba for the whole “don’t call me latina” and if that started from P*rezH*lt*n the shame on me. I still thinks she’s a latina for profit now that she has to sell her mommy products
Their family, while they identify as Mexican-American as a whole identify as American. None of them speak Spanish, half are so white you'd never know there was a drop of Mexican blood in them. So they are so far removed from being apart of the Mexican culture that they don't feel a strong tie to it. I can't blame her for her view on it. She grew up around people who were apart of the culture while living in Pomona, but she was probably pretty far on the outside of that looking in
And again - staying quiet and shutting the fuck up is absolutely free. No one is saying she has to be forced to identify as Mexican. She doesn’t need to denigrate an entire ethnicity and brag about cutting loose from her culture while saying disgusting shit about Mexicans spreading their seed.
