Best comedy series of the past 10 years as far as I care, and I can't wait to see if Lee's razor-sharp wit translates into task completion.

I truly hope not; clever but shit is my favourite (see: Nish Kumar, Paul Sinha, and the true Educated-But-Thick-As-Pig-Shit overlord, Mr. David Baddiel).

Paul Sinha is SO smart, but so remarkably shit at some of the tasks. It was impressive.

Him hopelessly wandering about the TM house garden in a bathrobe shouting "Hello... HELLO?!" into a walkie talkie for 27 minutes was like the world's saddest ad for dementia.

I just commented downthread but its's worth saying again because it fits your "clever but shit" requirement: David Mitchell would be amazing, and he'd bless us with his rants of frustration

I love when he slips up on WILTY with "I hope that's true...I mean, if mine isn't. Which it is." 😂

I watched the first episode of this based on people loving it so much but I didn't really get it.
Does it get better? Or is there a specific ep that's a must watch?

It depends on whether you enjoy british comics making fools of themselves tbh.

If you like British panel shows, you might enjoy one of the series based on the cast. If that’s not your cup of tea, probs won’t get better.

Don't let Josh's whining and Roisin's laziness in season 1 stop you. It got better after that (minus Paul Chowdhry in season 3).

Paul Chowdhry's one of my favourites just for how much Greg enjoyed him!

Bastard's crying, innit.
