Last week, Anderson .Paak and Bruno Mars announced their collaborative album An Evening With Silk Sonic. The first single "Leave The Door Open" is out now, along with a video:

An Evening With Silk Sonic will be released later this year. Bootsy Collins appears on the album as its "special guest host" and is also allegedly the one who came up

I love this. It’s very “on theme”, almost caricatural. But at the same time it feels like they are genuinely enjoying themselves.

Bruno is a bit cheesy, but I feel like that’s what falling in love is like. As says the poem “All love letters are ridiculous (...)”

Their vocals are amazing. But the song will have some strong competition with Drake and Bieber, and Drivers License forever.

Also, love to see they “mixed” their bands.

Oh nice! This made me realize I kind of missed Bruno Mars' voice.

My favorite (/first) Anderson .Paak memory is summer 2016 at Pitchfork when my friends and I were at the stage where Brian Wilson was performing all of Pet Sounds and then per their advice (they're older and always know about good new music tbh) we left like 10 minutes into his set to go see Anderson .Paak instead who was playing a different stage and it was the best decision lmao. Sorry Brian Wilson.
