AMC released a new promo for the season's final episodes. Also released is the opening scene of the premiere (the episode is already on AMC+ but will officially air tomorrow).

i have not watched in years, who from the OG crew is still alive?

Rick and Michonne are alive but off the show for now.

Carol, Daryl and Maggie? Can't think of anyone else.

I forgot Maggie was in season 2. The first couple of seasons are all blended together in my mind at this point.

Glenn at least died that way in the comics (although a few dead characters at this point are alive in the show). At least Kirkman is doing right by Steven Yeun by having him as the lead of Invincible.

With Carl it was obvious they just killed him off to prevent the actor from negotiating a pay raise. The showrunners talked a lot about how important it was going to be for Rick when they knew he was going to leave half a season later.

the last ep i watched was the one before the break in november 2019 that they are lured into a cave, then i was supposed to continue watching after the break in february 2020 but the pandemic hit and i stopped watching. guess i'm gonna catch up now

this show is such a chore to watch. it's so goddamn boring and but i've been watching for so long that it doesn't make sense to stop now that it's ending anyway. thank fuck it's ending
