I've been doing it my whole life because it just works for me - even back when it was unfashionable and tragique. It's nice to be on trend again I guess, although I don't really care too much. It will inevitably fall out of trend in due course.

Maybe the next time it's back on trend, I'll be old and dying and the new generation of kids will be cursing the zoomers for not doing enough to fight climate change, will tell me my grey middle-part is blorp blorp (new slang for cool), will ask me what it was like to live through the Trump years so they can ace their history projects, but will then go on to shame me for being fully human and not some human-machine cyborg.

same!! until this past month or so it never occurred to me how literally no one ive ever known has had a middle part. I have always wanted to do a side part but couldn't make it work, so I got gently roasted every so often for my middle part but i really really didnt realize how rare it was among my peers. In 2014 a coworker said i looked like a kardashian because of my middle part which I thought was weird but I guess they were the ones doing middle parts back then

My hair is almost always in a bun. Sometimes I braid it. I rarely just wear it loose. But when I do I've always just done a center part. lmao. I was a head of the times! I'm a cool millenial!

My hair looks better/definitely has more body when parted on the side, but I'm lazy so center part where it falls naturally it is.

This. Side parted diagonally it looks better, but I ain't gonna work to get it to stay there.

Now that it’s been almost a year since my last haircut, my bangs are to the point where a side part keeps them from looking too tragic. It’s the first time I’ve had a side part in about 30 years and I’m actually liking that it’s making me look more ~mature

haha, replied to the wrong post and it won’t let me edit, so I’ll add that I’m also extremely lazy (I don’t even use a blow dryer) so parting my hair is like a major change

going on over 30 years of a center part. it's almost impossible to get my hair to part on the side at this point lol

This is me! haha I've tried side parts back when they were popular, but my hair has no desire to be dictated to. It does what it wants, when it wants. So I'll most likely be rocking a center part until the day I die, no matter what the fashion trend is trying to tell it.

Clip it in the position you want and blowdry it

you try and comb it to the side and your hairbrush just snaps in half haha

I have had a natural middle part for years and getting into the HAIM sisters really led me to embrace it so now I'm just reveling in my previously mocked hairstyle finally being "in".
