Donald Trump is a cancer on the Republican Party. The question is whether Republican senators will show enough courage to cut it out before it metastasizes. - Stephen King (@StephenKing) February 11, 2021
I like that the only way to currently see Trump's tweets is to watch them being used against him in a trial. #TrumpIsGuilty - John Fugelsang (@JohnFugelsang) February 10, 2021
Dear #Mitch, Well, doll, you’re ancient, and you don’t have much time left. So why don’t you do the right thing for once in your life, and convince your caucus to convict that millstone around your Party’s neck, the #CriminalTrump? History awaits! - bettemidler (@BetteMidler) February 11, 2021

It feels really, really wrong to have the perpetrators on the jury, but maybe that’s just me. - kristen johnston (@thekjohnston) February 10, 2021
It is a miracle more people didn't die in the attack on the Capitol.
It is a miracle no members of Congress were killed.
Any Senator who votes Not Guilty shits on that miracle. - Michael Green 🇺🇸🇺🇸 (@andmichaelgreen) February 11, 2021
Trump predicted this, but got the address wrong. It didn’t turn out to be on 5th Ave. in NYC. But instead, Pennsylvania Ave in D.C. & instead of him taking the shot, he did it thru followers & enablers as he looked on from safety with glee. - Sean Penn (@SeanPenn) February 11, 2021
Yesterday Recap
A raw, emotional day 😞
📝 First few hours revisited info we already knew (or was published) but laid out in a precise sequence to show the evolution of the insurrection
📝 Then the House Managers took it up a notch, revealing video and calls that had not been made public
Examples ▪️ Officer Goodman racing to insurrectionists, passing Mitt Romney and telling him to turn around, thus literally saving Romney’s life ▪️ Video of Pence with his wife and kids being ushered out of the Capitol only moments before the Senate was breached and while T45 was rage tweeting at Pence ▪️ The stupidity of the rioters who came across Ted Cruz notes to challenge AZ votes and working out -real time- that Cruz was selling them out, oh no no, Cruz is for them! ▪️ Multiple DCP calls begging for reinforcement, saying they were outnumbered, barriers breached ▪️ Phone recordings of Pelosi staff whispering for help with terror in their voice, while rioters were mere feet away on the other side of the door [Threat to Pelosi was so serious that she was removed to an off site secure location] ▪️ DCP forming a human line to protect Senators being evacuated from the Chamber, while an insurrectionist was being held at gunpoint just down the hall
📝 Trump refused to testify in person but his testimony was provided in absentia by the House Managers using his own speeches, interviews, and tweets in precise timeline to prove it had been planned for a long time and that Yes they were acting on his behalf
🤡 The usual GQP suspects spent the evening in damage control, with Lindsey Graham getting ratio’d to hell on twitter for claiming the Not Guilty count went up (!?), and then blaming Pelosi and DCP on Fox. Meanwhile Fucker Carlson distracted by showing a brief clip of the real insurrection then pivoted to BLM protests over the summer and claimed George Floyd died by drug overdose.
Let’s go live to Mitt Romney telepathically /redacting/ KidHitler for his role in the insurrection that would’ve gotten Romney killed if not for irl hero Officer Goodman
