I guess I’ll just say it: the actor was Armie Hammer. https://t.co/qPgA0s20p4

Remember the saga of actor Lukas Gage, who was insulted by a director over Zoom who thought he was muted? Well, the same thing happened to film critic Mara Reinstein. But the person dissing her was Armie Hammer ( Read more... )

I don't know if he did anything illegal, there will likely be investigations and a lot of reporting all year about that. But I do know that, at this point, he is verifiably a shit human being. And not just in a way that we've gotten used to with certain narcissist actors.

The original video in the quote retweet... his apartment isn't even close to bad?? Especially for a dude in his 20s. It looks nice / like a hotel. I shudder to think what that director would say about an actually shitty apartment.

psa if youre a shit talking director make sure to mute ur shit on zoom mtgings pic.twitter.com/PTgMZcRhEw

Also I quote RTed this with a similar experience of mine (a snob accidentally butt-dialed me right after we'd run into each other and left a voicemail where I could hear him talking about me lmao) and this actor followed me nnnnn lol.

honestly, i could barely see the apartment to make a comment, like i see a little portion of the wall and the tv? at least it looks clean from whatever little i see. why so judgmental

I think it's more a reflection of how much of an asshole the director was. Than his apartment. Dehumanizing pos.

His flat looks a great deal nicer than mine and he handled the situation SO smoothly, like for that brand of courtesy alone he deserves many future starring roles.

I don't get why people can't maintain basic courtesy. When I mute on zoom or switch off camera, its because i don't want people to see me browsing on mobile lol

One of my co workers zoomed into a meeting from his bed... you could see the furry handcuffs still attached to the headrest

The final paragraph though:
So I don’t need to be told I was prescient about Hammer. I need you to listen to the people who are telling you as much about others in Hollywood today, and remain ever cognizant of who you, yourself, are giving fifth, sixth, seventh chances to - and who, by your casual viewing choices, your casual comments, your unexamined understanding of your own “tastes,” you’ve never let happen at all.

That’s deep! (No sarcasm at all) and 💯

I actively work on that.

Re: Armie: I once mentioned him during an interview with a much-loved actor. The actor asked me to turn off my recorder so he could talk about how @annehelen’s Buzzfeed feature got AH exactly right. https://t.co/5RNNx4bvXS
