Facebook postGen Z has decided to come for skinny jeans, and though millennials have been lenient in counterattacking when it comes to other things (such as declaring a side part to be passé and the middle part being where it’s at), they have decided to resist the z assaults and retaliate ( Read more... )

No ma'am. People should wear whatever cut of denim suits their body type. Sorry to these Gen Zers wearing motherfucking JNCO jeans, but it's not realistic.

RIP to those kangaroo JNCO's, they defined my awful style for 2 years. My style is still awful, I just can't fit a fire extinguisher in my back pockets anymore.

Yes!!! I have the same issue. I also find that I always have to pull my jeans up because they go out for my hips but they never come back in for my waist. Like I need some curvy jeans so they stay put and stop sliding down my body.

My pants always slip down even with a belt. It looks so damn ugly but I just can’t find curvy pants that fit.

Yea I have the same problem, I feel in between sizes. The bigger size is a good 2-3 inches too big on the waist, but when I size down they're tight on my hips.

Probably an example of a boomer lying to me but I remember my 8th grade social studies teacher telling us that back when it was the USSR, jeans were super rare and that if you went there wearing them people would try to buy them off you.

...

I guess it was actually kind of a thing https://www.dazeddigital.com/fashion/article/32495/1/exploring-the-ussr-s-underground-obsession-with-levi-s-501s

That's true, as a child in the 90's I wore nothing but jeans (I also remember having a denim jacket to go with all that other denim), but my parents and other older people remember when jeans, sneakers and other Western items meant you were very cool.

I just remembered a chapter of a semi-fictional book inspired by the author's childhood in the 60's - a kid brought a chewing gum to school in secret and the whole class, having never had gum before, all chewed a bit...of the same piece of gum.

Mom jeans only look good on people built like Kendall Jenner. Skinny jeans aren't UNIVERSALLY flattering but they're def better than mom jeans tbh.
