Tomorrow we will know the Golden Globes nominations so banned source gave their predictions for tv shows:

i usually love award season, but i have seen pretty much nothing this year, tv or movie wise

there is some rumor that the Globe voters loved that messy Sia movie....

lol same. i went through very bad burnout last year that made me see watching tv and movies last year as a chore and i'm slowly, but surely trying to get out of it, sigh.

The Queen's gambit is the overrated tv show of the year, being serious, besides the production, the gorgeous gowns and some of the acting, why is it considered that good?? the characters were very shallow and one dimensional and more or less she just stopped having adictions out of no where, no exploration of anything, and Jollene was just a trope, we didn't know about her until the last episode where she came to save Beth.

I hope Emma Corrin gets the nom and i think she has a chance of winning too.

I agree 100%. I think Anya Taylor Joy was A+ at acting but the plot was unrealistic, Beth was a manic pixie dream girl and it was obvious a white male wrote it.

exactly, she was, there wasn't any complexity on her character, it was panfully obvious a man wrote that, , i read that it's better than the book but still, great gowns beautiful gowns, if it wins over I May Destroy you...

I don't know. As much as I hated some parts of it, it was refreshing to see a story about a woman that didn't involve sexual assault...

I forgot to add that Al Pacino getting a nomination for that horrible Hunters show will be a complete joke, i get the HFPA loves that but come on.

I liked the show but he is the LAST person in the cast who deserved an award nom. Carol Kane does!

Carol Kane and Tituss Burgess have deserved something for a long while, especially because they made UKS bereable and their scenes were the only funny ones but Hunters is just too OTT and weird and that ending?? even a nomination would be a joke.

There’s a lot wrong with the show but we’re in a shitty year, lots of shows got pushed back. If it weren’t for the pandemic I doubt it would get a nom but this year? I could see it happen.

Imo my problem with hunters was that it wasn’t OTT enough. The massive tonal shifts were frustrating and I wish it stuck with the B-movie, almost parody like tone it seemed to want to stick to. There was zero reason for a show like this to feature concentration camp flashbacks.
