I do Lettuce, light jalapeños , sometimes light black olives, oil and vinegar, salt and pepper, pepper jack or Swiss cheese on Italian herb and cheese bread....and because I’m internally 5 years old I throw some lays up in there for the crunch. 🥴😂

I'm guessing it's some sort of amalgamation of various white fish and mayo. That's what fake crab is made of, anyway--minus the mayo.

if it's true i could see that. if they're using fake tuna it would have to be a money-saving thing right? i don't know about fish prices though.

Yeah, imitation crab is surimi made from pollock mostly.

they're claiming it's not fish at all (but also won't say what their testing says it is, so now I'm wondering if one of them dropped a screw in the tuna)

I worked at Subway in college. The tuna comes in big old silver pouches, and what comes out likes pretty much exactly like canned tuna does - we add in the Mayo on site, it doesn’t come prepared that way. The ouches tuna smelled and tasted exactly like your store bought tinned fish kept in water, so idk about this lawsuit. I never looked at it and thought “this shit’s fake”. All the punches had stamps that said “tuna, dolphin safe”. The fish that came out was that pink color that looks like tuna. It wasn’t white and it didn’t look dyed but wtf do I know

Granted, it’s been 10 years so god knows what’s happened in the meantime.

I love this sort of deep dive into fast food so thank you for this! Did you work there during the Seafood Sensations era?

Haha yes! That shit looked exactly like crab meat from the store. It didn’t look nefarious to someone whose had fake crab at the store.
