It's probably because of all the products they're advertising with the movie being out of date.

It's not about making the movie better (more fantastical), but making sure they get that sweet product placement coin.

I think the movie was actually supposed to come out in 2019, so they were most likely filming back in 2018. So thatโ€™s like 3 years

So it was suppose to start filming in 2018 when Danny Boyle was attached as director but was delayed when he dropped out. Then started filming in spring of 2019, then had to take a break when Daniel Craig got injured, then finally finished filming in the fall.

So really, not that old.
