Euphoria is set to begin filming for season 2 this upcoming March. That makes one year since season 2 was supposed to begin filming

So I was actually kind of iffy on this ep, I understand that Sam's intention was to info-dump Jules' POV bc they kind of failed to do that adequately during the season. It was very heavy on all that and like...there isnt even a hint of some of this stuff in the show so it just feels kinda like retcon.

That being said its a good ep, v emotional and well-acted. Idk how I feel about the gratuitous sex and nudity again from Sam. I related more to the Rue one though bc thats more where I am emotionally tho lol.

Completely agree on the retcon! It really felt like Sam didn’t like how people responded to Jules’ story, so he had to rewrite and create these backstories to episodes we’d already seen. I’m curious if this would’ve happened if Covid hadn’t hit. I don’t see these flashback rewrites would’ve happened as they tried to progress S2.

At the very end when Jules is crying and it pans out from her window and shows the other window, what/who is in the other window? I’ve paused it and tried to screen shot it but I guess they don’t let you do that bc the pictures are blacked out on my phone. It looks like there’s someone. I guess I’m seeing things because I’ve been checking and no one else has mentioned it that I know of.

Another great episode. I romanticized relationships at that age, so it hit close to home. Sad that she’s still in love with “Tyler”. I thought the way that was filmed was really clever. I love her character and enjoyed this episode almost as much as Rue’s.

i liked the episode, hunter was great and i'm glad she co-wrote it because sam is terrible at writing any character other than rue (as evidenced by jules' writing before this). the opening scene with liability was beautiful and the use of that song was a personal attack on me tbh!

one thing i will say is i truly do not understand how hard some people ship rue/jules. they are so bad for each other that i just can't comprehend anyone rooting for them to be together at this point

The fanbase seems to have a LOT of teens, so it kinda doesn't surprise me that they'd love something that's passionate and sweet but also really dramatic and unhealthy. But like ... do teens think this show is realistic? Exaggerated? Aspirational? I'm really not sure and I find it kind of worrisome.
