I have reached the point where I just stay quiet when people say 'you might change your mind' when I say I don't want children.

TBH, my biological clock is like an old smoke detector that you haven't changed the battery in 10 years. I felt the opposite of a clock "ticking" LMAO. As I got older, I got more and more NOPE about having children.

THIS! I hate the discourse around kids on ONTD. It's so bad. I understand that we live in a really oppressive culture that expects/demands people have children and then doesn't give parents any real support. Opting out of parenthood is often treated as an affront to society, but hating children is weird and morally indefensible. I understand not wanting them or even wanting to be around them for extended periods of time because they require a lot of patience, but it's weird when people call children boring or say they hate them.

Maybe if people were nicer to us as kids, we wouldn't be on LiveJournal in 2021! Let's be humble.
