I was gonna say, I don't think I've worn my rings since lockdown started consistently (not wedding rings, but I always used to wear rings in general). I occasionally but them on randomly but like you said with hand sanitiser and hand washing most of the time I don't bother.
I read that hand sanitizer is corrosive to jewelry so on top of actual difficulties in sanitizing around rings, I've stopped wearing them completely as soon as Covid hit.
I says that sometimes people just don't wear their wedding ring, lol. I used to live with my best friends, who are a married couple, and their rings were by the bathroom sink more than they were on their fingers.
i hate jewelry on my hands so the concept of wedding/engagement rings have always sounded really offputting to me. i'd definitely be that friend leaving it in the bathroom all the time lol. also knew someone who almost never wore their ring because they had a medical condition that caused their fingers to go up and down in size. when they wore it, sometimes it'd go flying off their hand
i actually plan on telling anyone i think about marrying that i deadass do not want an expensive ring cause i'm probably never gonna wear it. i like the idea for something to symbolize marriage but it can just be a basic ring engraved with our names inside or something
I'm the same. I don't have a wedding ring but a ring I love and wear everyday but as soon as I get home from work it gets taken off because all of a sudden I can feel it on my finger. When I'm out and about or at work I don't notice it though. So weird.
