I only watched the holiday special and that was pretty funny. If I recognized, well, anyone, I'd probably enjoy it more, but I'm not British, so I wouldn't.

Do they have both UK/US famous Brits on there ever?

Does Noel Fielding count? He was in series 4.

Oh Katherine Parkinson! She was Jen in The IT Crowd and she was in series 10.

Other than that... lol no. It's mostly British comedians that are only well known in the UK.

Katherine Ryan? She's Canadian. Mel Giedroyc, if you watch Bake Off. Sally Phillips was in the Bridget Jones movies. James Acaster.

I mean, who do you consider to be a famous British comedian that Americans would know? I'm not ~up on the scene as a Canadian, but I watch some British TV and recognized a lot of the people.

But also, genuinely, Taskmaster is my favourite TV show. So many of the contestants are absolute delights (there are only a few I would say I actually disliked). I have cried with laughter while watching this show. There are so many amazing moments from literally episode one. It's pure joy. I've spent most of lockdown just rewatching old episodes, even just a few minutes at a time while I'm eating my lunch.

Taskmaster is just happiness in a TV show!

Rob Beckett's series is my absolute favourite. I could watch it over and over again and cry with laughter every single time

The task where he and Sara had to play charades on opposite sides of the river, I was genuinely in tears.

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS POST.

I've been wanting to make a Taskmaster post, but have been too lazy. lmao.

My favorite contestant is Liza Tarbuck AND I WILL NOT ACCEPT CRITICISM.

Favorite overall series is 5 though because both Bob and Sally are absolute gems.

I AM CRITICIZING YOU BECAUSE LIZA IS THE (second) WORST.

ABSOLUTELY NOT.

SHOW ME ANOTHER CONTESTANT THAT BUGGERED A TOY LIZARD ON A DRILL.

SHOW ME ANOTHER CONTESTANT THAT MADE ALEX SIT BARE ASSED ON A CAKE.

Liza was a delight!!!

I genuinely don't get why that cake moment was supposed to be funny. That's how I know clearly I'm missing someone with Liza because I think that moment was terrible.

For me, Greg plays more of the ~straight man so he's not really there for laughs IMO, other than when he is thoroughly disappointed in the comedians.

He's good when he harks back to his teacher days
