Apparently they're not only introducing The Defenders, but other Marvel characters as well (There's talk about some people of SHIELD, Sousa from Agent Carter, some girls from Runaways, Cloak and Dagger), but they won't recognize or mention their previous stories, just pretend that happened to these characters in different multiverses.
