So like pornhub and reddit and Facebook and twitter which all have videos/groups/accounts devoted to rape, necrophelia, torture, and slavery is all cool cool cool, but parler is crossing a line?

Oh, that's because those calls for violence could hurt men, and that's what makes it unacceptable.

But pornhub is woke porn that hurts no one and empowers women, don’t you know.

Oh my gawd, my bad! I'm such an awful kinkshamer for forgetting that "crying black whore gets brutalized by white cop" is a fun, sexy, empowering time for everyone. If that isn't oozing with positivity the most tolerant and woke people would have obviously opposed it.

The conservatives are all over it. I follow CBCnewsalerts on twitter and in the tweet about Trump getting suspended, they are losing their minds over this in the comments. Frothing about Nazi Germany, censorship, etc.

Amazing how the most staunch capitalists are pretty pissed about the free market making decisions about what's best.

It’s weird how replies to CBC social posts are always overwhelmingly from pond scum, both Canadian and American. Like, why pick the CBC?

I think they see it as a mouthpiece for the left, for some reason.

Maybe someone here can help me and/or reassure me. My Gmail address is one common word, so lots of people (especially people from places that speak similar languages to my maternal language) are dumb-dumbs and use it to sign up to various websites and services thinking that it's their email address. Usually, I can tell because the address needs to be verified, and I obviously don't verify it and go through the process of telling the website/service that it isn't me trying to sign up ( ... )

I’m shocked people can make accounts off your email since most websites these days require verification of your email address. Personally, I’d let it go especially if it’s an email that’s not connected to you too often. It’d be different if it was your name or something. Maybe you can do the “forgot password” thing and delete the account?

ty bb - ye lucky it's not my name!

i tried going through the 'forgot password' process to delete the account (which is what i do in other places where i can), but kept getting error messages that the account was set to 'private' and that i couldn't reset the password - "contact us blah blah".

the whole thing just felt very uncomfortable. also shocked that they didn't require email verification to make an account... idk idk i've been thinking about it since it happened but there's not much else i can do now.

ty for reassuring me! <3

It's happened me to several times. People have used it to set up phone lines (land and cell), an apartment, school schedules. Last time someone used it for a Disney+ account that I changed the password on and deleted. I should have shared it with friends instead.
