She's not Spanish at all. She's from Boston, her parents have roots in New England for literally hundreds of year, and as far as anyone can tell they have zero links ethnically to Spain. Her Dad was like a Spanish Lit minor in college thats it. She grew up in Massachusetts and then obtained a fake accent in her 20's. She did multiple TV shows with this thick fake accent where she pretended to not know words like cucumber even though she's a native English speaker. As an adult after their retirements her parents bought a house in Spain.
