the Mandalorian one would have shocked me but my dumb ass looked at twitter despite telling myself not to the night before, lol. but it was still a big moment and the lead up was so good.
Otherwise I can't really think of any moment that was really shocking this year.

I stopped watch mid-season too, and planned to catch up after the holidays. I was definitely not expecting that Lovecraft spoiler - honestly, whoa! (I don’t rly care about spoilers, but that has me a little bummed, ngl)

I stopped watching then too but then rewatched on a layover and I stopped basically on the last episode knowing he was gonna die along with Ruby if I recall.

honestly 10 years ago when i still watched supernatural, if you'd've told me that it was even HINTED at being canon, after the show basically said if you shipped it you're a stupid moron, i would have laughed in your face. so yes that was truly shocking.

the memes bc of it were far more entertaining though

Loved Mandalorian and need to finally catch up with the Jodie Doctor on DW.

The SPN memes were fun even if I could never get into the show myself I learned way too much about it through the years. So it felt like pay off when the memes relieved the election anxiety.
