I’m not entirely against it, especially having been in friend groups where people dated briefly and often, so I’d be writing off a huge number of people if I was only dating people I met in person during my school and partying days. But I think it helps that like 99% of my friends boyfriends are not to my taste or I witnessed them being terrible.

Most of my friends' tastes dont overlap w mine but i'd really try to avoid it, it just seems messy

Eta: also i guess this is kinda bad but my friends are all significantly better people than i so i would take them breaking up w someone as sort of a veto of that person and stay away in general

It completely depends on how close I am to this friend. My late partner was the ex of an acquaintance. I'd say hi to her at events and parties, but I didn't consider us close enough for me to consider him off limits. I would never date a close friend's ex though.

Hmmm idk because I’ve never been in that situation before. All of my close friends have completely different guy types to me, one likes older European guys, the other likes artsy dangerous~ guys with tattoos, another basically looks for successful rich businessmen, and I like the slightly preppy, well-mannered boy next door type lmao. I think if we liked the same type of guy it would probably complicate things when we were all single tbh.
