The long awaited trailer for the Billie Eilish documentary was released today. The film will follow Billie earlier in her career from going on tour to writing and recording her first album.

The documentary is by Apple Original Films and will be premiering on Apple+ on February 26th.

musicians have been doing documentaries about themselves/their tours for decades now. this isn't abnormal. she's also the biggest gen z artist rn, people are interested.

i think because its easy money and easy to film. i mean if you're going on tour anyway, its not that much effort to have someone follow you around for part of it.

Back in my day, it felt like a bigger deal when a singer had a documentary about them. Like I was excited to go see them in theatres with my friends! Now they come out every week.

Also, 19 songs on the Billboard Hot 100??? I can name 3. I am truly out of the loop with music lol. Oh well. Nobody's art needs to be for everybody. I'm sure her fans will be really excited about this and I hope it's good!

to be fair, 19 songs on the billboard hot 100 could mean it debuted at #99 bc of stans then fell off the next week. I'm sure that's not the case with most of Billie's songs, but there are ways to make these things sound more impressive/impactful than they are.
