That's something her parents had full control over.. allowing her to take that role. I wonder if she resents them for it.

I immediately mistrust all parents of child actors for this and many other reasons

The industry is so harmful to children

And we wonder why so many of them self-medicate later in life

Like we didn't learn a lesson from Judy garland??????

That’s awful. Children shouldn’t be in show business.

It's been a long time since I watched it, but I feel like her part in Beautiful Girls was kinda icky too?

In some ways that movie was even more disturbing - a grown man lusting after a 13 year old girl. At least in LEON, no one was specifically doing that.. even though the role did sexualize her. Leon himself was very clear about boundaries when she got out of line. He wasn't a bad guy as far as I remember.

Portman’s twelve year old character “seduces” Leon in the original script.

The director, Luc Besson, married/had a baby with fifteen year old Maiwenn who he dumped for seventeen year old Milla Jovovich

There are no boundaries in Leon, just a cleaned up script

lmao i'm not a luc besson apologist at all this is kind of a reach.

so just because you're a couple, you're only allowed to wear "couple" costumes, of people who are actually couples?

is that what i said or is that what you think i said because you lack critical thinking skills in a post about a woman having trouble reconciling her sexuality after ppl chose and continue to choose to violently sexualize the child characters she played?
