I saw Sound of Metal at TIFF last year and it was excellent; I would highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance. And Nomadland was great, too, though I saw a lot of the digital screenings for this week are already sold out, so I'd get on that quick if you're interested in seeing it this week.

I really liked Mangrove, and appreciated what Lover's Rock was doing, so I'm looking forward to Red, White, and Blue. This film anthology is such an ambitious, interesting project.

Looking forward to Ammonite, even with the bad reviews, and I'll watch Mank at some point. Interested in Black Bear and She Dies Tomorrow as well, but they'll probably have to wait.

I would recommend skipping She Dies Tomorrow, I finished the movie but it was a challenge. lol

i've read that all three main performances in black bear are good but that aubrey's is especially good. i definitely want to watch it. also every time i see christopher abbott i want to rewatch james white.

Yes, her performance was really good in the second half of the movie. In the first half she's pretty much the same as usual.
