i grew up in a dv situation that i'm still detangling (father abused me and it turns out he abused my mother), and unfortunately i had a cousin [suicide tw]who was in a DV situation that spiraled out. she was abusing her partner and ended up wanting to kill her. the girl thankfully didn't come over that day so instead my cousin killed herself in order to have her gf find her body which was exactly what happened. this came out during her funeral and it was just incredibly awful and ugly cause i preferred what happened than to have her actually kill that girl. dv is so damn ugly to deal with and i hate that it's gotten worse bc of the pandemic.

I've been abused so many times and every time police pretty much regarded me as 'not worth going down for.' There's so much that should change.

It’s tough and devastating that DV cases are increasing with the lockdown. The more people stay home, the likelihood of DV increases, so the implication is that women are unsafe leaving the house, and unsafe staying in (exposed to DV). Lose lose situation.

You leave the house, you’re exposed to Cov. Stay in and you’re exposed to another threat ?

I grew up with DV. I am glad she's spreading awareness.
