it is actually really good and I think the GP will pay it to dust. Angels like You and Never Be Me are literally career highlights and ALY is one of the best songs of 2020.

Yup, I just listened to it and it was really good. Her voice seems more suited to this genre, and she went all out with the features. My favorites were "WTF Do I Know," "Night Crawling," and "Midnight Sky."

I’ve had melodrama on repeat since the lorde in Antarctica post 😹

Oh this feels like a good post to ask: I’m buying my husband a record player for Christmas and I would love some suggestions to get our collection going! I know that’s a rly broad question but just looking for some good ideas. He likes classic rock and newer alternative music (eg rainbow kitten surprise is prob his current fave) but he also wants older bluesy things (maybe some Billie holiday or something).

melodrama remains amazing! i've been listening to a lot of slowed + reverb versions of songs & the ones from that album are top notch! i cried to a couple of them lmao

I tear up every time I hear liability lmao. Or that part in hard feelings when she’s like “three years, loved you every single day, made me weak, it was real for me, yup, real for me. But I’ll fake it every single day til I don’t need fantasy, till I feel you leave. But I still remember everything, how we’d drift buying groceries, how you’d dance for me. I’ll start letting go of little things till I’m so far away from you, far away from you” 😭😭😭

it took me two full years to stop scream-crying when i listened to 'liability' WHEW!!!!! growing up, i always said that i felt like a novelty to most people for a couple of years then they just leave, so when i first heard that lyric about being a toy that people enjoy until their tricks don't work anymore, i fucking L O S T I T!!!! i swear she was in my head /therapy session

I actually really enjoy most of the songs in Miley's album, her voice and personality definitely fit pop-rock/rock more than pop.
