I sobbed through the James Avery tribute. It was so beautiful. So funny when Janet came out and Alfonso was nowhere to be seen.

haha yep, they hate each other. Janet said that Alfonso was aggressively mean to her. I believe it. I don't trust Alfonso ever since he did that video announcing how much he loves white women and how he only loves them.

Idk why I thought this would involve a new episode of the show, but I liked what they did a lot more and it felt more...vital?...than I expected. I also cried a whole bunch.

I loved it. I laughed and cried throughout it. My only minor grip is once Janet joins the cast we dont see anymore beyond the hugging. I would've liked to see the 2 Aunt Vivs talk to each other and even have Daphne talk about joining the show in S4 and the decision to differentiate her version SO MUCH from the OG.

right? daphne barely spoke. what was it like coming into an already formed family unit and having to recreate a character and dynamic that was already established?

(i did kind of want to see discussion over how janet was a darker skinned woman and daphne was lighter, and perhaps any impact that might have had.)
