I don't go here since Season 5 but I just watched the scene and tbh it still feels queer-baity? He just says "I love you" and dies.

They left it open for straight people to read it as platonic, which is what they are doing. Even before killing off Castiel this show didn't have the guts to make it more explicit. Even Xena was more obvious 20 years ago.

I'm so mad at myself for watching this in bed with my sleeping boyfriend because I'm in actual pain with silent laughter. His high-pitched sobbing alone is SENDING me.
