I would prefer a 15 or 16 episode season of basically everything. 10 often feels too short and 20+ often feels too long as that gets you annoying and boring filler episodes. Screw that, don't waste everyone's time. Let me enjoy my stories but also, let us all have a life.

This is a BIG reason why I watch Korean dramas tbh, they're usually within the 14-20 episode range then over and done with. I don't have the attention span for 15 seasons of a show.

even then so many kdramas/cdramas are full of filler if they’re longer than 12 lol, i feel like 12 is the best number of episodes. it’s usually the short dramas or the mini 1-2 episode specials that have the tightest writing and the most compelling plot lines

I’d be fine with shorter seasons if that meant more TV shows would be on the air. I feel like some shows air their 12 episodes and then it’s reruns for the other 9 months of the year or another season of America’s got talent

I also fear that yah, actors can survive with only working six months a year to get their 12 episodes out but can the crew? Would they be able to hop to another show?

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong but I would think that if seasons are shorter then crew members could probably work on 2, maybe 3, shows per year since not everything films at the same time.

Yeah, I mean most 22 ep seasons start in July/August but I guess the fear would be if they're all 12 and premiering at different times then if you're on one that films July - December and others film Sept - Feb, or October - March, or whatever the case then you can't quite catch one.

I would think shooting schedules (including the actual months) would change as well if seasons were shorter

In the era of streaming 22-24 Ep seasons don’t make sense. People want meaningful content in their episode order. I think we’re drifting towards a “mini series” format with more emphasis on quality production rather than sheer number of formulaic content.

12-15 episode orders seem good.

The time period in which I was obsessed with this show (high school) literally feels like a different lifetime. I will say that, in high school, it felt extremely revolutionary. TV never looked or sounded the same after it.

It was so dramatic and compelling to watch during the early seasons. And it felt like you always had someone to discuss it with irl because it was so popular.

Same. I remember when it was cool to watch this show lol.

I’ve never cried harder at anything tv related than the season 2 finale of greys. Truly feels like a lifetime ago.

Don't you dare Ellen. I've lost enough. Greys has been the only constant in my life for most of it. Don't you dare quitting. Please don't abandon us
