My friends are really stoked about the new Craft. On Halloween we’re gonna all watch it together. It looks CW af to me and reminds me of that really boring gen Z witch show. I’d never tell them that though. I hope we at least watch the original first even though we’ve all seen it 4795320168 times.

The Craft: Legacy has too many characters for such a short runtime. The dialogue also sounds like it came from a series of random tweets.

I watched the new The Witches and I enjoyed it. No, the CGI effects are nowhere near as gruesome as the practical effects from the 90s movie, and they will probably look dated in 10 years. But I thought the relationship between the boy and his grandma was 10000x better done in the new film (I loved that the movie spent TIME with them, building up their connection after his parent's death) and Anne Hathaway's Grand High Witch had this mixture of malice and childishness that was great fun. Gorrrrrrlic.

IA, I liked the change of pace of their relationship. It added some depth to the story. The effects were trash and Anne was too hammy in her acting as usual.

There was not enough time to make that "twist" interesting, but it did have potential and I appreciated some of the changes they made
