Sacha Baron Cohen and his Borat 2 co-star Maria Bakalova jumped onto Good Morning America today in order to promote the film, which dropped early last night.

I watched it. Better than the trailer and funny for the most part. It had it's moments. The Rudy scene is bad, but not as bad as Josh Gad insisted... he's not "done" or whatever he said.

I watched it last night and it's def #problematic in many of the same ways that the first one was, but also I ugly-laughed at a lot of points and the father/daughter storyline came off oddly sweet? I credit a lot of that to the actress who plays his daughter, who is GREAT imo & carries the movie, NO idea how she kept a straight face through some of that.

imo the Giuliani bit… it's not a career-killer on a consent level (although, like… just because the actress flirted a little doesn't mean it's still not WILDLY inappropriate to go straight to the bed and shove your hands down your pants) but I think even people who are much more conservative than me will think he just looks like a weirdly horny dumbass.

Yeah the movie definitely suffers from SBC not being able to run around as Borat without an additional disguise, but she stepped up big time. I saw she made it into the White House, too.

This is actually not as bad as I expected, which isn't to say it's NOT bad; I just thought we were literally going to see him get his dick out. This is gross, but the Trump crowd will have an easy time explaining it away, I'm sure.

it's less graphic than I expected, but also it was worse than I expected in some ways because unless the editing was seriously misleading, giuliani went from being receptive to the come-on, agreeing to have a drink to "alRIGHT buddy time to crank this hog" in like, 10 seconds flat.

like you'd think… hope? that someone who knows sensitive political information would have a LITTLE bit of skepticism about the situation lol
